A brief history:
Before the pics and vid, a quick ride report.
FAAAAAARRRK. What a sound.. The sound of that big bang motor is something else. Sounds more V-Twinish than a big V-twin..
And then there is the added performance of letting the motor exhail a full breath, What a difference in the top end.
Previously I tended to select another cog at around 6500>7000rpm because it was just blowing hot air and didnt feel like it had to much pull left.
Different story now - It rockets HARD up to the revlimiter without running out of steam on the way.
I had never touched the limiter on the S10 until this afternoon but I can tell you, it's butter smooth just like the way the traction control works.
I have only done about 10kms with the new pipe (both baffled and un-baffled) and at the moment there seems to be no earth shattering change to the bottom end with a marginal extra oomf in the mid range. There is certainly no detrimental dips or funny fueling but it appears that what has been added to it has been added to the mid to top end.
All good in my books.
Anyway, some pics and video's for you and I will bore you with more details later.
I had the pillion pegs off during the bulk of these photo's and put them back on later in the night to show how the standard pegs and side covers still fit straight back on.
The very next project is to custom manufacture a pillion peg hanger system that with have integral ankle guards and heat shielding... Hanging out to get started on that one..
In the meantime the standard pillion pegs still fit in place.
With the Pillion pegs and side cover back in place.
Both the Yamaha factory accessory panniers and SW-Motech racks and pannier system fit as designed.
Now for the Vids.
The first one is with the DB killer/baffle in place... A lot nicer note than the OEM - Slightly louder and a lot more bassy.

CAUTION...
Before viewing this next video, ensure the kids and wife are in bed, Turn the lights down and the VOLUME UP, and have a box of tissues ready... 8)
God I love this deep, rich sound.
