ATM FUCHS Titan Super GTO (PAO) or when all those containers of half price specials are empty, probably back to Motul Type V synth. (Ester) OR Mobil 1 (PAO) or maybe diesel long life synth.

Really don't care that much as long as it is not a friction modded synth.

Mobil 1 15w-50 full synthetic. Same for my Tiger 1050, KTM 530 EXC, XR600R, TDM850, Triumph TR-6 (car), etc.

Used it for years. No problems, no issues. Great stuff in my book.

Oh, is this an oil thread? ::015:: ::) ::) ::) Castrol 4T 10w40 in mine.

Question... I have used the Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 15w50 in the BMW R 1200 RTs. In that engine there is a dry clutch, and the transmission has a separate sump with gear oil in it. I have always understood that with bikes like the SuperT, where the tranny and clutch are in the same oil as the engine, IIUC, then it is important to use a motorcycle specfic oil with ZDDP in it. As I understand it, and I very well could be mistaken, the Yamaha requirement for the JASO MA standard ensures that the lubricant is motorcycle specific and meets the standard. I wouldn't have used that Mobil 1 oil in the Tenere. But I know Steve is one of the most tech savvy guys around here.... what gives?

Yep, its official. OIL THREAD !!!

I used Mobil1 15w50 for my KLR650, 685, 705, and DL1000. Still using Yamalube 10w40 for the Tenere. Might change after I get back from CANAK.

Hmmm, slippery subject. Broke it in with Rotella 15W40 mineral then switched to Amsoil full synthetic 20W50 in the summer and 10W40 in the winter. 8)
