So... I'm sold on Motoport Air Mesh Kevlar, but I would really like it
in white. I talked to Wayne "the Motoport guy", and the lo-down is
that he needs to sell about 40 jacket/pant combos or 70 jackets to
justify his minimum buy of material.

Anyone interested in acquiring white air mesh gear in the next 3-6
months?

Or, if you know where I can acquire 5 yards of such material... ;)

I have a Motoport "Marathon" jacket in grey and black air mesh kevlar. You're going to love this stuff. It flows air better than anything I've ever worn and provides superior abrasion resistance as well. I went with the stretch kevlar for the pants (black) since the air mesh kevlar can be a little stiff. Sure you want white? The suicide bugs will be very noticeable on a white jacket. But, the whole thing including the armor can be thrown in the washer.

I have a motoport Kevlar mesh jacket and a pair of stretch Kevlar pants. Both are black. You'll love the gear. Not sure about the white though.

LOL suicide bugs... I like white because it tends to be most visible
(based on my personal observations). I've had a white leather
jacket for many years with no dirt issues (bugs or otherwise).
One of the upsides to living in San Diego, and mostly commuting,
I suppose.

I also have a decade old pair of Motoport Cordura pants that
need changing - and, I concur with the quality reviews of the
products. Bought them in person from Wayne, way back then.

I've been hoping that Motoport would add white to the colors available for kevlar mesh. I would be very interested in buying a suit out of it.

So, I wasn't able to get the mesh in white, but I did get them
to special order the stretch kevlar in white. Very pleased with
the results.

Nice looking. Visible too. When I bought my latest First Gear Kilimanjaro they had white/silver or black. I was going to get black but the sales woman suggested that if I was going to ride it into warm climates I would be better off with the white so I got it. Coming through Las Vegas then past Death Valley in early June in 104 deg heat I was very happy with the white :)

Did you order it with the quad armor?
Are your pants the ultraII overpants?
All quad armor. Pants are standard ultraII stretch kevlar
with zip attachment to jacket.

Ah, thanks! I have been thinking about ordering some ultraII pants in the stretch kevlar.
The newer motoport stuff looks good, way less "marching band" style than before.
