It's a Christmas Miracle. Even though I received a call that this part was backordered and estimated delivery was 2/2/17, this just arrived at my home.

They might be the same part number but they are much tighter on the Gen 2 bike. It was loose on my Gen1. Super tight on my 2014 S10.

Not a dumb question. I've been told it is there for hot gasses to escape during the casting process.

My thought is some aspect of the mold, not just for gasses.

Cool, I will quit looking for my spare and will find mine tomorrow no doubt.

As a follow up to another post, my 2015 is just as loose or tight, however you look at it, as my 2013 was. As before, I used a little clear liquid nail on it and it will not come off easily now.
