I have been looking for a 2014 at the right price. I called one shop and they did not have a 2014 but they do have a 2012 black, zero miles, $10,499. Possibly they would take less I dunno, I imagine they are motivated to sell the bike. Thought someone might be interested.
Yamaha of Millington Tn. Yamaha runs rebates and incentives often, changes month to month I am told.

Sounds good, local dealer also in TN has a used 2012 black with 11k miles and wanting close to the same price.
That one has a few extras.

I'd rather spring for a left over 2014 in blue but both of those are real tempting.

I bought a new leftover 2012 with full luggage for a great price at a nearby dealership. Calculating the true price is a bit difficult because I was given an excessively generous trade in on my old KLR. Both new bikes that I've bought over the years have been leftover models. Unless you need the latest/greatest, leftovers are the way to go. (And as the former owner of two slightly used KLRs, I obviously don't need the latest/greatest, though the 2012 Super T seems plenty great to me.)

I doubt they can move much on the price as new motorcycles have little profit margine.

You might want to see if Yami still has the 1200 dollars in accessories offer and see if they will toss in the extra warranty as well.

I cannot comment on the 14, but I am a cheap bastard and as with the Above owner, a former KLR Owner, that says it all :p

Also a dealership is paying so much per month for their floor plan. At some point they have to decide to cut their losses. What that point is, well, that is up to the dealer.

Offer $9,000 out the door.

Or add that $9,000 toward a 2015 ES.

+1. I bought a '13 S10 NEW in June of 2014 for $10,500 WITH $1000 in Yamaha accessories AND and an extra year of warranty. That '12 should be no more than $9k or so.

Varies per area. I looked all over and the best I could find in june was a 12 for 11800 with exhaust as a demo Model.

Good job on the great deal you got, it is not indicative of all areas however.

In Sacramento there is a new '13 for a little less than $10,500.

When I was shopping cycle trader and calling these dealers I quickly found they always just sold that bike at that price. But for some reason I noticed the ad never comes down.

That is called Bait and switch, it is Illegal.
Look on the ad for a stock number, if one is not on it ask them what color and stock number they just sold, keep that then repeat next time.
Bring up what they are doing is Illegal and magically you should have that deal.

Same here. Called numerous dealerships about 2014 models they were advertising online with Cycle Trader, etc. and none of them had the 2014 model with the stock number listed online.

I notice lots of deals on the West Coast. I dunno if that is shipping or competition or what, but the bikes there seem to be a few thousand less than the rest of the country. For instance a 2014 ES for $12k

Or standard for $11k

That blue is really nice, too bad I am so far out.
I actually bought my new leftover 2013 from these guys....while there fees for frieght and prep run the costs up alot from the sales price, the end result of 30 minutes of negotiation was an OTD price WAY lower that my local dealer could do for me. He actually told me to jump on it if the deal was for real!

Yea, just called them. They don't have the 2014 (standard or ES)advertised, in stock. They do have a 2013, and quoted 8900.00. Then stated "about 11" drive out.
The leftovers are sure a great deal for folks looking for a Tenere. Amazing.

They had two 2014's just two weeks ago when I got my 2013......they sold four of the 2013 Tenere's that week! I honestly though it was too good to be true.
