The Micatech Pilots for the Super Tenere will be in production in two weeks. We are completing our second install on Monday. Our current field tester is very pleased with his cases. He even had the experience of crash testing them in a rut on a muddy road! The cases (and the rider) handled it very well. The product information will be on our website soon but feel free to give us a call with more questions or if you are interested. Thanks!

Well they look nice from the top but we would like to know more like, the depth, width, height, overall mounted width, weight, colors, and if the lids come in something other than the two burner version :D

Really, they look good but more information or a link to it would be nice.

I'm interested in the top box plate / luggage rack. I really liked the design (strength & Quarter turn fasteners for the box) when I saw it on the test bike.

I like the way the side door opens and leaves room for undisturbed storage. Does the full sized helmet fit on top of that undisturbed storage?

while they might look a little nicer, I cannot find a good reason to sell my first edition micatechs. I really like my bags, there, I said it.

Motocephalic, These are a different product line than the V2 cases that you have. just wanted to make it clear that there are TWO options of Micatech cases available for the Tenere. Micatech's website explains the difference between the two lines, size, mounting system, shape, colors, etc. I have a set of V2's on my Buell and have been beta testing the Pilots, including the necessary crash tests! :D

when I put the group buy together, they were not available, so V2 was it.

I love the V2 though, by far the best bags I have ever had on any bike. I use them everyday, and they perform.

I will volunteer for beta testing, ok?

The ST is already a pretty heavy ride. The weight of this luggage (~35 lbs empty) exceeds the TOTAL weight of the gear I'd load into them.
Good looking bags, but I'll stick with the lighter soft side setup.

While soft sided luggage has its place, try locking your electronics up and see how safe you feel leaving it behind. The small weight concern is a small price to pay for secure electronics, which can be in the thousands these days.
