My bike made it's way to the Micatech plant in NH today. Bob,the owner, is going to develop his "Pilot" mount system and "Packrack" for the Tenere! For those of you still on the fence about which cases to get, there will be another option available shortly. For the curious, go to http://micatech.net/ and check out the photos of the Pilot cases on the 1200 GS,the mounts will be similar. I'll post news and updates as I get them!

That sounds great... Do you know if the new rack system will work on the old V2 cases?

Don't know for sure,but don't think so. The V2 cases don't have an exhaust tunnel. If you already have V2 cases they should go on the SW racks. To use the V2 cases with the pilot mounts on the GS the exhaust has to lowered. Hope this answers your question.

Yes, thanks for the info. It is too bad, but I will keep an eye on it.
