Okay.. Amateur hour is about the best way I can describe this... some of you have seen this on a couple other sites but I figured I would toss it out here too. I hope it has some information that will help you choose packing options while camping. Please don't laugh too loud.

Edit: Sorry, I think I'm going to re-shoot this one.. will put it back up when I do.

well done...Mellow -

perhaps next time have the mic closer and face the camera.
I did say Amateur hour.. I did one test and the sound was good then I did this and it was lower.. go figure.. I suppose I could re-shoot it but it would loose all the drama.. LOL

I have the exped dlx9 because it's wide and has a built in air pump.. it takes a few pumps to get it where you want but it's nice if you don't carry one.

Thermarest finally came out with one that compete w/exped called the neo air - the Large is the same size.

Big Agnes also has a core mattress that is similar to the exped.

Here's everything in the video:
- Exped Air Pillow
- Exped Synmat 9 Delux Air Mattress
- Marmot Limelight 2P (2011)
- Outdoor Research 10L AirPurge Dry Compression Sack
- Twisted Throttle DrySpec™ D38 Rigid waterproof motorcycle dry bag
- Twisted Throttle DrySpec™ D28 Dual-End waterproof motorcycle dry bag

I have the cheaper model.. lol. The Exped syn 7 large and wide with pump. Mellows will work at much lower temps then mine, but the 7 will work for 3 seasons.

Mellow, thanks for the vid on how to pack the camping stuff. Being that we have almost the same stuff, that was very enlightening.
What size stuff sacks did you use for the tent stuff and for the sleeping bag.

Links are in the post above yours for the stuff sack. The one for the tent was the bag it came in.

Thanks for posting. Not only was it informative but entertaining as well. You are also correct about setting up when you have dogs. Just bought new tent because I left dogs with tent for 2 minutes. Maybe next time we count the stakes as we bag them and not forget any. :D

Mellow,
thanks for the links but they aren't working. There's an extra "http://" in all of them.

Everyone else:
You can get to the links by just backspacing out the extra stuff in the beginning of each URL.

My just came in today. It fits like a glove. Do you have any problem with it sliding forward under hard deaccelleration?

Jason
I don't, but I use the rox straps to strap down the front end and a regular strap on the rear luggage rack.

I'm not sure that matters, as long as it's strapped down I don't think it should move much, if at all. Just haven't tried the straps it came with yet.
