Has anyone used these maps for rides around the BRP?

http://shop.americaridesmaps.com

I'm thinking about getting the BRP series of 6 maps.

We have about 9 days to get down as far as about Ashville, and Canton, SC and back to NY

and I want to make the most of it.

I love maps, and I hope these will be good for planning and finding side roads while out on the road.

I've not used the maps but then I live in Map #4 and well kind of know the roads. Let me know when you plan to be on map #4 perhaps I could show you a road or two.

I am just south of Brick on map 5 and know the area south of Asheville on the BRP very well. Hit me up with you timetable in the area and I'll see about picking you out some rides. The Pisgah NF in that area is covered up with well maintained gravel roads through that area too. If schedules permit, I'd be happy to give you a tour.

Thanks. I think I will get the maps. How are the roads in the mountains? My niece was through there not long ago and she said there was still snow and some were not open yet. Still cold n nasty here but I hope things will warm up a bit by then.

The BRP sections and the forest roads around Asheville are still closed as of yesterday. That will change soon most likely as temps are warming. When are you coming through? If it is not too soon, I would imagine that all will be open and good to go.
