Well....i thought this day would never come....but it is creeping up. After putting many miles on the S10, leaving me helpless during the COBDR when the clutch imploded, yet putting the biggest smile on my face while I was out in the middle of nowhere AZ on a dirt road with nothing in site for miles....I think I am going to trade her on a K1600 GLTE. Yes...i know...but after picking her up once at 11k elevation in CO, turning around when fully loaded going up an awesome dirt vista in Grand Junction because taking 800lbs+ where I was looking at going was insane...this is not exactly the ADV style. I will caught between a 690 EnduroR or a BMW 800gs....not sure who will win out.

What I do know is, I am heading to Mortons BMW tomorrow to discuss numbers. Probably on Friday, she will be gone.

So, what should I take off?

Here is the list of aftermarket goodies that I am willing to take off (many others, but not worth my time..unless you want to assist sometime this week). If the interest is there, I will strip it. If not, then I will be trading as is. Bike is the 2012

- Altrider heel guards - Possibly taking off
- Altrider Rear rack - Possibly taking off
- LV Slip on - Definitely taking off
- Touratech Fogs (for both right and left) - will keep these on unless price is right
- Wasp Works screen adjuster. (best there was, best there ever is, best that is not even made anymore...puts madtad to shame)
- Barkbusters Storms
- SW Motech rear rack with QD - Definitely taking off
- DSBP Raid Toolbox - Aluminum - Definitely taking off
- Two taller windscreen (one is a barndoor, the other was my primary and worked awesome with the S10) 6'0" rider - Definitely taking off
- Pivot Pegs - Definitely taking off
- Touratech metal lightguard - Possibly taking off
- Wunderlich foldable shifter - Possibly taking off

Anything listed as "possibly taking off" PM me a price ASAP as I have to determine the opportunity cost (and to make sure I have the OEM piece in my box).

This ranks up there as one of the suckiest decisions I have ever made.

BIKE IS SOLD!!!

The only advice I can give you is to try and figure the shipping cost out before putting stuff up for sale and list everything with the shipped price. Shipping cost can vary by quite a bit, depending on the distance and location, but if you put something up for sale, prospective buyers will wear you out wanting a total price shipped and you will never hear back from them.

I would suggest you guys who are interested in items, do as he requested and IM him... Just saying if you are posting a reply to this thread someone might have beaten you to the punch for an item with an IM..... just sayin'

His post reads to me as a feeler only to help him decide whether he will part out his bike or not. No prices or details discussed so why bomb him with PM's prematurely? He only asks for a PM with offer price on items "possibly taking off" If he does remove "definitely taking off" items and offers them for sale it would stand to reason he contacts the person showing first interest in this thread.

Sure its a feeler, but he specifically asked... I've seen "for sale" threads where the seller asked for IM/PMs and people simply replied to the thread and got their panties in a bunch when the item turned up sold because the eventual buyer used the PM/IMs as the "first come, first serve" indicator for which the seller asked...

Whatevs.. its all good... ::021::

Bush is correct. Possible items, I need a PM with price. Definitely items are coming off and will be for sale soon appropriately under the correct area.

Just trying to figure out my opportunity cost of my time in dismantling the girl down to stock.

Thanks for clarifying. But you only asked for PM's on the "possible" items so probably should have just left off the "definites" then as you aren't selling them on this thread correct? Or are you asking me to PM you about the "definite" item before you start a new thread and offer them for sale?

PM Sent, I'll take the Altrider rack if you'll sell it as long as it's the top and bottom 2 pc rear rack and less than retail. Thank you.

He's trying to sell the whole bike in the For Sale section. We'll be lucky if he decides to part it out. Lots o' goodies on that one.
