I was just wondering if anyone knows of products or even just some tips for better organisation of items inside top box/panniers.

For example at a minimum I have my walking stick, first aid kit, Tyre repair kit and mini-compressor in my top box and that might be it. sitting loose with nothing else around them they bounce and jump around while I am riding.

I'm thinking about double sided taping some plastic hooks to the inside of the top box so i can use some small bungees or a net to secure the small Items I always carry to the side of the inside of the box. Alternatively perhaps using velcro to stick each item in place.

A product that allows you to partition the box would be good if such a thing exists.

I like stuff sacks for general organization.

Velcro works if you want to have a few items in the box. You could also molle type of attachments, there are TONS of pouches with molle loops.

Zip lock bags are my go to for organizing any case. I do that a lot for my job and work travel. They come in so many sizes that you can put bags inside of bags. Makes it easier to dig for things and to pull them out.

PVC pipe, cut to desired length with a cap on bottom. Stand them up and tape them together like a six pack. I used 4 in and I just sort and drop. Stays put, and you can reach in and grab what u need

Probably not much help for a top box, but this is what I've been using in my tank bag, which can easily become a catch-all for all kinds of junk. I can't take credit- another ST Owner gave me the idea. Cut down old oil containers. I went a step further and cut a coolant jug for the long compartment. Everything is just stapled together. I've been using it for around 3 years now, about 75k miles.

The way I organize it is:
-Long compartment (furthest forward) is first aid kit and cell phone(s). It will fit two phones and the kit easily.
-Next row closer to me: Energy drinks on the left, ear plugs, spare batteries, spare Sena unit (when I had a pair to use to switch out on long rides) on the right.
-Closest to me is usually- Camera on the left; center and right are snacks (hot balls, jerky, hard candies, or I fill with chicken nuggets when I'm lucky enough to have time for hot food).
-Around the outside are the power outlets; phone charging cords; and headset charging cord on the right; Screaming Meanie and rubber over gloves are usually along the left side.

Visit your local Army/Navy surplus store..... they have all kinds of bags & pouches that are great to organize gear in. I picked up two of the EMT pouches (see Amazon site below-$20) several years ago that work out great for organizing tools & other small items. They have several compartments & zippered fold out compartment. The other good thing.......Just got my Jesse luggage & 3 of the pouches fit perfectly in the lid under the retainer clip. Other than that.......I use the Wal-Mart stuff sacks (in the camping section) & their $8 duffle bags that fit great in the panniers. I store the stuff sacks in the duffle bags........get to camp & just pull the duffle bag out. There are a lot of options out there but, this set up has worked great for me for years
