Ripping up and down 550 going at fun speeds, all is perfect. Slowing down towards a stop sign and couldn;t decide whether to turn left into Silverton or go right for more road fun. Decided left at the last moment, put the left foot down at the stop sign and the foot slipped on gravel. S10 decided it was time to take a nap. That wasn't the bad part.

Got off to pick er up and a pack of Harleys pulled up and asked if I needed any help. I about died. Picked it up laughing "on the outside" and joked around for a bit and bid the riders adieu.

Sucked. No damage at all and the OEM panniers and Givi engine guard made it a breeze to pick up. Course I already knew that :) Low speed drops on this beast are part and parcel of S10 fun!
After it was back on the stand, you should have looked at them and said: "Now you try it with yours." 8)

Those times when the bike gets hurt and we don't, beg the question... How quickly can I fix it? My local dealer, Don George's Motorsports in Clarence, NY answered that by selling me a mirror off their floor model. Minimum downtime, maximum enjoyment. Gestures like that aren't lost on me. They'll remain my go-to folks for the duration.
A good dealer is a gem.....

Just posted this in another "dropped bike" thread:

Had a zero-speed get off in a parking lot Tuesday. Wife was on the back and it started to go to the right and I couldn't stop it - we both tumbled off in slow motion - I was laughing so hard at my stupidity that I couldn't lift the bike at first.

It landed beyond horizontal against the grade so the bike was not easy to get back up.
Good news: no damage other than scrapes to the stock engine guard and right hand guard. And the tip over switch worked like a charm.

Such a different mentality compared to the sport-bike world I came from. I would've been freaking out if I'd ever dropped my ZX, CBR, VFR - aluminum frame and draped in spendy plastic.

I think my wife was expecting a temper-tantrum, but I couldn't stop laughing, and just said, "glad this thing's made to fall over - look, no damage."
