Loose Cluster

In my search for what sounds like an odd vibration at 34mph, I today noticed the instrument cluster moves quite a bit. The 3 screws are tight, but the rubber bushing is physically moving in the mounting holes as if the bushings are worn out (5k miles) or the holes are just too big.

Anyone else notice this?

That's normal.

The Gen1 Tenere's have a vibration around 3,400 rpms. There is a ton of conversation about this. Search is your friend.

My vibration issue (or whatever the noise is) is at 34mph. The engine can be off and it still does it. Tough to pinpoint but i thought it odd the cluster was so loose and I never noticed it while riding.

Normal and you want it this way so vibration and shock don't kill the electrics.
Wait till you see how much the license light can move.

My 2016 bike has started doing this today, never did it before, at certain revs you can barely read the clocks, this is something new, it's only done 2k. I know the clocks are rubber mounted but when I move them I can feel/hear something almost metallic, is it easy to see the mounting points? I'm not to keen to strip too much off as it's under warranty.

If it is in warranty, the answer is easy.

If not, it's easy to take off to check. Remove the windshield, one pop pin, and 3 screws.

Cheers, even though it's under warranty I might have a look, it's right in the middle of the season and I'll bet it'll be a couple of weeks before they'll be able to fit it in. I've also got a squeak in the steering around the centre point, I'll bet the bearings are dry.

Well I checked the screws and they are tight of course so I'm guessing a more detailed look at what revs the vibration is happening at and have a look there.
