Heading back to Seattle Sunday morning of Labor Day weekend from Montana, want to ride the LOLO, just not SOLO. Dividing it into 2 days, to be back home Monday late afternoon. We could meet in Missoula early Sunday morning, or on eastern entrance to motorway at given time.

I am riding Super Tenere, am a slow-medium paced rider depending on conditions. Don't need to break my body parts, yet make some time. Camping is doable, or finding cheap hotel both options.

PM me if interested for my email. Don't really want more than 3 people total, as it gets more complicated.

Hope to meet someone for the ride!!!

Ahh just go for it! I know it is a good trek from Iowa for sure. It is 8 hours for me as well.

Yes, I have seen that. It looks so fun.
I am honestly a chicken shit when it comes to being out there in the WIlderness by myself. There, I said it, isn't that the first step in recovery??? I want to be comfy out there, but it isn't there yet. Maybe I need to turn off the ANimal planet on the bear and wolf documentries, hahahaha!!!!

Dont be embarassed friend... ha. I cant say Im to afraid of the animals, but I am afraid of getting caught up alone. Ive gone down twice on this behemoth S10 and without a friend to help would never have gotten it back up. Even have been thinking of picking up a wench for this reason... anyway, I am TOO SCARED to ride back country by myself. I will never do it... I ride off-road on occasion on my own ONLY if I already know the road difficulty and am confident it is no more than a dirt road.

And thats all Ill say about that.

Thanks for the words!!! Yeah, i surely want to be around for along time with my 2 1/2 yr old daughter, as well as be able to show her these places and not be afraid, but still cautious.

Very tempting, but can't make it - had our cabin booked months ago down by Rainier for the long weekend...

Geez, Jeff - why can't you make your Labor Day plans in January like the rest of us...? ::025::

Rocky, Thanks, I emailed you this afternoon asking a few questions. Are you up to ride the Lolo Motorway East to West on that Sunday? Or even parts of it? I got your phone number, I will call you Tues or Wed evening this week.

Regards,

Jeff

Jeff, the Motorway is dirt, correct?
Tim, yeah it is dirt, gravel and light sand. Subarus can drive on it no problem. It is about 120-150 miles in length and BFE.

Hey Jeff. I would be up to the Motorway but I need to find out if my brother is. I will talk to him Tuesday after work. Looking forward to your call. Rocky.
