Yes, altrider are not aux light friendly bars for sure unless you weld on a post of some sort. I tried using adjustable peg mounts first, but the curves on the bars are different for where I wanted to mount them. So I ended up using ram mounts with 1 inch ball using a 3.5 inch arm. They also have 1.5 inch ball stuff. So far I put on about 230 miles and they are in the same place as they were on day one. This also yields a highly adjustable setup. You can then wire-loom your wires and run them along the bars. You could replace the knob with a 1/4" nut if you like, tighten either well with blue thread locker, and also run 2 strong zip ties on the arm for extra peace of mind.

Thanks, I was thinking of something like the single picture above. I have the PIAA 530s and PIAA bar mounts. They don't exactly match but will work. Trying to get lights separated as much as possible for daytime conspicuity (sp?). Even at the risk of breaking one in a tip-over.

I was over at ALTrider today to get crash bars and a skid plate. They are working on a light mount for the bars. Said: "We need to get that done", so keep bugging them!

Interesting. I called them several weeks ago and asked if they would develop some kind of add on for their tenere bars that would allow for light mounts, something along the lines of oem front bar that wraps below headlights or hebco & becker bar that wraps around above the headlight, something that could just be bolted on with clamps and I was given and odd answer that they don't do custom work. Good to hear that they now have an understanding that it needs to be done and their entire operation is custom work. I personally prefer aux lights to be higher up and not at the fender height.
