Has anyone found another source for the lenses? I found one place, but their shipping costs were extravagant...

Did a google search on the SKU and several companies have the clear turn signals.
Motolume wanted 35$ for shipping! Hory Cow!!!
Got them at StreetRacerParts.com for 23.99 + 9$ to ship.
This is a great idea!!!!

Howdy,
If you go through the options Moto Lume will charge you $8.95 for shipping, not $50. Why they make this so difficult I don't know? ???
Later,
Norm

Perhaps, a little! ;)

This is all you need... Not necessarily from ebay of course, but this is the one I bought... simple to fit (Remove the right side panel, top panel above it and the relay is the second one along... two pin. Remove the OEM, remove the rubber holder and unclip the connector... reverse using the new LED relay)
All four turn signals will flash at the right speed... much easier than messing with inline resistors and looks much more factory.
The good news is that regular bulbs will still work with the replaced relay too so you can mix the rear and front with standard and LED... should you want to:

Clever idea !

Is the reason the load resistors are not needed because the relay provides that functionality. How many of these relays to order if the plan is to replace only the front turn signals.

Exactly. The relay takes care of all four corners as its the central unit. You don't need those PIA load resisters and the relay works for any type of LED turn signals / bulbs you add.

And the reason we need to replace the stock relay for this mod is because it doesn't have the right load for these LED bulbs?

Correct... As is the case with any LED Bulbs or lights.

You are replacing a conventional flasher relay (with bimetallic strip that requires a load in order to heat up to the correct level) with an electronic relay that uses an electronic timer to time the flashing rate. An electronic flasher relay flashes at the same rate independantly of what it is connected to. What I fail to understand is why manufacturers don't put electronic relays in as standard.

Removed one to take a closer look. Do these lenses come with the housing, as the two seem to be glued to each other.

Yes, it's a simple plug & play.
The lenses don't come apart and the clears look exactly the same as stock.
