Low sided my supermoto bike a couple weeks ago on the way home from work. I was wearing khakis and got some pretty gnarly road rash on my knee. I have always only worn riding pants when it is cold out. But no longer. Ordered a pair of Aerostich Darien Pants last week but they were a little small to wear over my street clothes so I sent them back for an exchange for the next biggest size. Was very impressed with their construction at first glance. Looking forward to trying them out. Should be here first part of next week. ::26::

Glad that you are pretty much OK. A "cheap" lesson to learn, in the grand scheme.

You are a lucky person for only getting road rash. Better than a shattered knee or digging into flesh. :D

I know how garbage the weather is done here but have come to the conclusion that I'd rather sweat my ass off than have to deal with weeks or months of dealing with broke-ass skin.

Glad you learned your lesson without serious injury...

I learned early in my riding life to dress for the ride and not the destination. Which was easy to do living in SoCal and going to the beach... I low sided wearing no jacket cause it was too warm a day... The roadrash kept me off the beach for quite awhile. Since then it I always ride with appropriate gear....

Road rash certainly sucks, but it does teach a lesson that few forget.

I'm a fan of dressing for failure...at least on a bike.
