I'm a big fan too! I've got 2 pairs of socks and shorts and wash and rotate also. Very pleased with this set up. I need to invest in a shirt also sounds great.

Looks like good equipment.

As we walk a lot we have plenty specialist 'walking clothing' so I tend to use some of that for general riding, its also good as it can be washed out overnight when touring, packs up small and is lightweight ::008::

Just finished a 3 day 1500 mile weekend where temps ranged from 95 to 108 all weekend long. Wore (and wetted with water on occasion) LDComfort stuff under Klim Badlands and stayed quite comfortable the entire trip. Except when stopped in the sun at those construction zones of course.

Love my LDComfort stuff.

I will add that you MUST follow their instructions or "wearing" recommendations. IF you run a mesh type jacket like I do, Klim Adventure Rally Air, it doesn't work. Living in drier Colorado, it dries out very quickly. You are better off wearing one of those moisture wicking shirts..

I've yet to try it in my Badlands Pro….

Again, I know, my bad, they say it doesn't work with a mesh jacket…. Just re-interating.

I know this thread is getting old, but have to reply. I hunkered down and bought some LD base layers for a 7 day trip I was doing. I also bought a set of "First Gear" layers that were on sale. We encountered everything from cool weather with rain to hot and humid in Tennessee. The first gear layers were "ok". They are thin and generally just a basic base layer. The LD Comfort layers are thicker due to the 2 ply construction and when putting them on, feel like they will be too warm. When riding I forgot about them, super comfortable. You must follow the website directions when using them just like everybody says. Will you get hot? Yes, I became warm, but wasn't really uncomfortable. I would soak the top layer a bit when we stopped for gas. Then once we started riding would feel the cooling effect which was really nice. The "First Gear" layers didn't work as well. I would wet them down, but they would dry out really fast. At the end of each day I would wash whichever layer I was wearing. The LD layers took a long time to dry. We stayed in hotels for the trip, so I would would wash and hang them to dry and by morning they were still wet. I ended up strapping them to the bike with a bungee so they would dry. The first gear layers dryed faster, but were still damp. Ultimately, I found myself always wanting to wear the LD Comfort layers. I will order up some extra LD layers and keep the first gear layers for back up.
