I bought my S10 back in November. So iv'e been scouring the net including ThiefBay for some 2nd hand parts and to be fair there's hardly anything :-[ I need a set of clocks as mine are playing up with the LED display so i even put an ad in UK partfinder but that was fruitless. Surely there's a dismantler's somewhere in the UK with an accident damaged S10. Or are S10s indestructable or are we that good we never fall off? Its easier to find the Holy bloody Grail

Don't know the answer.
But this sure as heck ain't no KLR (or similar) with a looooong run of years of production and vast quantities that have completed their useful life naturally.

I suspect Yamaha could run an ad right now that accurately claims that 99.9990% of all XT1200's are still on the road.

::026:: You're not wrong. I always keep a look out for anything of interest and there is very little to be had. A good call from Dogdaze regarding a Dutch breakers (on ebay).

Not much help I know, but there doesn't seem to be a shortage of used GS 1200 clocks.

Sell em by the boat loads. And they HAVE loooong production run.
Someday, there'll be junk yard Teneres. But likely never as many as there are GS(A)s.

You're fight mongo moto and several of us UK riders have had problems with the clicks. I tried to source where they are made via several friends in China but no luck at all. Clocks are £700 in UK!!

+1 on the breaker in the Netherlands. Bough a pair of Altrider bars from him before Christmas, which were at a third of the cost of new and delivered within five days. :). Set your ebay search parameters to include the EU and you'll find him easily enough.

Yes ive been in touch with him. But he only has a speedo to fit a 14 plate which has the digital rev counter. Mine is the first model S10. Or would it fit mine as well??? ::008:: Cheers again

Same in Oz. S10 riders seem to hold on to the bikes and don't crash here. No wrecks at auctions no parts at wreckers.

Maybe YAMAHA secretly buys then all and recycles them. I can't find my Tin foil hat at the moment though.

Good to hear from ya Graham!

Yea, not only does it seem impossible to find a Tenere "parted out", it is also common to have to wait for parts to get here from Japan. Stateside inventory does not include much of the non-wear stuff.

Could somebody post or pm me how to contact the Dutch bike breaker? A member in the EU needs a wheel.
