Knocked the new off it finally..

I dropped my son off at the library for the pick up to scout camp for the week.

Then headed up GA Hwy 108 where i got stuck behind some cruisers going 10 mph under posted.

Pulled off to go on some dirt roads that I mapped out north of Waleska GA & west of Jasper GA. I went down a woolybooger of a road called Mineral Springs South rd. Dumped the S10 once at 0mph... broke a mirror, messed up the lid on the top case and scratched the crash bar... nothing too bad. The lid still closes and the bars did their job. I'll need to get a new mirror. No pics tipped over, but it was easier to pick up than expected.

After I went through to the bottom of this hill, I met an old man that's the property owner. Chatted with him and found the easy way out was ahead, not back. He says the road is closed, but its on county maps still. He was pleasant, so I just nodded and said "Yes Sir" a lot. Decided I'd come home and order a new mirror.

other than buying a new mirror and being HOT, it was fun. It would be a really fun road on a true dirt bike. a 4x4 would not slow down through it.

The old guy that owns the property there was nice to me and I'll respect his desire to keep off the road, so I guess I won't be back. I'm sure it's a public road since it's still on the state and county DOT maps, but I don't want to be on the wrong side of a shotgun. you only have to tell me once.. I pick up things pretty quickly.

It's got signage. A stop sign with a street name on top in green (Usually named private roads have blue signs for street names around here) and a No Through Traffic sign (that I ignored). It was on a county map updated in 2015.

Like I said, I'll respect the guys wish and not return. he was cordial and we had a nice talk and we both went on our ways. He says he usually keeps his side gated, but the property owner on the other end don't.

Nice. But those do not fold in. So they will break at the next drop.
