Key turns to on, lights come on, in neutral, kickstand up, on centerstand, no error codes, but won't turn to ignition. Seems like a mechanical issue with ignition. Tried silicon based lubrecant, tapping with mallet - nothing.

No ignition lights? Neutral light, ABS light? Is the kill switch off?

Tried starting it in gear, clutch in and press the starter?

Oh man - my own stupidty here - I was trying to check the voltage cranking power on the right side and turning the key with my left hand thinking that the key was supposed to turn past ON. Leaving on a rushed camping trip tomorrow and am stressed out about it. I really am smarter than I look. Thanks for your reply, you actually helped me

Maybe I’m not understanding your problem but On is ignition , once it’s turned to the On position you need to press the start button and either have the bike in neutral or have the side stand in the up position or it won’t crank.

edit thankfully I see you got it figured out.

The problem was that I was trying to start it with my non-dominant hand which goofed me up and thought something was wrong with the ignition. Bike works, my brain not so much.

Still confusing to understand, but I think he is saying that he had a brain fart and was trying to turn the ignition key to start the bike rather than push the start button;)
