Yes, but my point is, for those that bought pre-ES, they didn't have a choice. As a marketing manager, I would want to know what the current trend is when considering an ES.

I understand that point and would like to know that also, but the OP said the vendor looking into making a larger tank wanted to know what the % was of ES and non ES of any year. I don't understand what that has to do with tank size, but that is the info that he wanted. Of course there were a lot more non ES sold than ES if you consider the years before the ES was available, but evidently the 2012, 2013 owners are not responding to this poll, as right now it shows the ES is 46.5% and that can't be accurate if all years are considered.

2012 Non ES (of course) is being traded this week for a 2015 ES. Can't wait.

Had a 2012, but when it was totalled I replaced it with a 2015 ES. I didn't want an ES bad enough to have just traded it in, but when I needed a replacement I searched for an ES because of talking to a couple friends with them. And I did have to search, it took 5 dealers before I found an ES available.

Start Rant: Took all my add-ons off of my 2012 with 31K on the odometer without a single issue (thank you Yamaha Goddess), found an new ES 1.5 hour drive away with the right price and available. Drove there in LA morning traffic to complete the transaction, and guess what!

It wasn't an ES. someone at the Dealer could not tell the difference i guess. and 1 hour back through LA traffic. Thank you very much.

End Rant.

BTW the posting is still up and incorrect.

fred

you might need to think outside the box on this one...there is a lot of space on the bike that can be used, but there is some differences in certain areas between the non ES and the ES and it is the use of this additional space that is the concern, but if the numbers/ interest is right maybe additional capacity might be available for both versions

sorry for all the cloak and dagger stuff but the manufacturer specifically asked me not to be...ahem...specific!!! Once i am given the all clear i will reveal and then we can start talking numbers, volume/ price etc

...but for now please be patient

I found one, 2015, new with good discounts. And the dealer is 5 miles away. Picking up my ES on Saturday. Not a fan of the color but neither was I with my 2012. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME> :)
