Pac NW Riders OR, ID & Eastern WA invited too!!

Tenere Guys n Gals,

Alright, as requested a few of you want to do some steering head tightening and other mild maintenance. I am free at my house, but have daughter in tow with my wife out of town June 1-9.

I am throwing a tech-day / JUNE 1 SATURDAY 9am -WHENEVER.

I will need a little help doing some of the small stuff, but having people bring stuff to munch on would help greatly. I will have burgers and dogs with a donation jar to help cover some of the cost of that.

I have the steering head special Torque socket needed as well as a manual. IN addition, if anyone wants to do something else, just let me know in advance as we can do TBS sync, CO settings if you want with Idle Screw Adjustment.

I would like to try to learn the Throttle Position Sensor Adjustment which can be done on this.

So, shoot me some of these three dates which work for people, and I will go with the date where most can come. It can be a half day thing, an all day thing or just an afternoon. Either way, should be fun. If you have kids, you can bring them as well.

Look for Group PNW Tenere on Facebook for info as well!!!

Please let me know for head count if interested.

If you are not on my area emailing list, let me know as well direct PM.

Jeff

Hey Jeff - maybe you've got a handle on this and apologies if you do. But if anyone wants to use my Harmonizer for a TBS, I'd be glad to ship it your way for your tech day once you get the day(s) ironed out.

Sounds as if you'll have a few bikes there, so maybe could be of good use.

If anyone's coming to the CO rally, they could just bring it down with them and give it back to save on shipping...

Take it easy -K

Karson,

Thanks for the offer. One guy in area has one, and another just mentioned he got one and may bring it. I have the home made twin tube oil thing, and last time we had the Harmonizer around we Sync'd with Harmonizer, then double checked with the oil tubes and they were showing 3 inches varience. We went with the oil tubes and figured the Harmonizer was off, or we were reading something odd. It wasn't mine, so I don't know how to set up or run that particular device. I figured simple physics was good with tubes, as most bikes started with a difference of 3 or so inches, then we got them within maybe 1/4" with the slight pulsations going on. We all wondered about which one was actually "true" that day.

No worries at all. Just thought I'd throw out the offer.

You might double check that the Harmonizer is balanced or zeroed out once you get the vacuum hoses hooked up with the bike off. What you described sounds like that could be it. If you go into the menu, you should be able to zero it out prior to balancing with the bike idling. I'll admit it's a little cumbersome figuring out what button does what, but once you get there, it's pretty spot on.

Cheers ::003::

We have less than one week now before the day. If anyone at the last minute wants to head out, let me know. If you don't have my address, please let me know. It looks like we have 8-10 people coming. We may also have a husband/wife traveling from Anchorage that may show up for the heck of it and some lunch.

See you all soon!!!

Looking forward to it Jeff. I'll be bringing along most of my electrical stuff (heat gun, soldering iron(s), shrink tube, etc) incase anyone else needs to so some electrical work.

I'll be installing my PC8, Skene IQ-170, my LED's when I work out how to mount them, a 12v to 5v USB converter, and my GPS power cable.

Well today was great, chaotic and constructive. I had the guys out to the house while the dozen goats were here after the wife left on a ten day work trip leaving me with the 2 1/2 yr old and the puppy to tend to. We got a TB sync, CO setting and air screw done on one bike, changed some front brakes on one and installed a PC8 on another.
Thanks to all who showed up and brought stuff, was patient with me tending to my daughter, goats, in laws, puppy and other Tenere fellows. It looks like we had 10 guys show up today. Mike, thanks for manning the BBQ.
