So, it's been over a week. What do you think about her?
Well due to our Covid related restrictions I have only been able to put 100 miles on the bike so far. I bought the bike without ever trying one following a test ride on s T7 which opened my eyes to the brand. I took a gamble following research and the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I've never done such a daft thing before!

But I absolutely love this bike. I think it looks stunning. I couldn't believe how easy it was up lift up onto the centre stand despite having a bad back. I can't believe how light it feels at any speed. I like the different modes, the cruise control and I think the electronic suspension is fantastic; I ride on a mixture of back roads, A roads and dual carriageways, and being able to touch into the right suspension setting in a matter of seconds is just a revelation!

I already love not having a chain, the shaft drive was a real attraction. There isn't anything I don't like and I am over the moon!!!

Jeppp, you’ve got the the S10 disease.. most of us have got it, sorry there’s no cure.. let it happen, you’ll learn to live with it.

every time in ride I got that feeling, still love the thing after all the years.

Glad to hear you're not disappointed. I was the same way. Never even rode it before I bought it. I was/am quite familiar with Yamaha, so it wasn't much of a leap of faith. I was surprised at the power & handling. (pleasantly) There's a few around here that complain about the lack of power, and suspension. . . . and the excess of weight. I have no idea what they're talking about. She's my favorite bike ever.

Thank you. Certainly got no complaints about any of those things! I wanted a bike to cherish for years and I'm certain this is it.

Congratulations with your new ride. It looks great. Nothing like buying a brand new bike :)

If you are over the moon already I'm sure that you have made the right choice.

For the last 30 years I've usually replace my bikes every second year or so.
Life is short and there are many great bikes out there.
I've now had my T12 since 2015, done 132.000 km on it, love it more than ever and will keep it for another couple of years.

This is the kind of bikes that really groves on you if you use it for what it's built for and discover its potential.

Thanks Don T. Yes that's the problem I've had as well, always selling on bikes after a short time.

I don't suffer with that particular problem these days, I've had my XV750 since 1981, my MT01 since 2008 and my S10 since 2019 and none of them will be leaving my ownership
I've now decided though that I need a bike that's at least as old as I am, so I'm on the hunt for a project that's at least 60 years old. I suspect I will change this bike a few times until I find yet another keeper.

Hey Rob, in that case I might have something for you. I’ve got an AJS K4 for sale, 1928 350cc. Original as it can be, but very well maintained. Running and driving. Needs a few small things work to it.

Stefan.
