While I wait on reports on the Lone Rider Semi Rigid Bags before I pull the trigger on buying a set of Panniers, I need to get a decent waterproof 'Tail Bag' or Duffel which would sit across the back seat and tail rack. Not too many $$ but functionally sound.
Also good to have is an easy strap down set up - as in a quick on and off.

Any recommendations?

Been using a very similar bag from Cabelas for over 10 years, it’s never let me down in anyway. I use Rok straps from Aerostich to secure to any of my bikes, if you have never seen or used Rok straps I highly recommend them !

How much are you planning on putting in it?
Is it for touring or just short road trips?
That 71L Nelson Rigg for $77.00 looks nice.

My Over Board 91L is due for retirement, Chip Monks boring holes in it and the zipper i never liked. But it's held up for eight years since my Triumph Tiger R.I.P. days and never fell apart or leaked.

So I bought this Can Am backpack made by Ogio. I got it on sale and it works great. It's 26L and when I take it off I can use it as a back pack which is a must for me. I strap it down with a cargo net and secure it with a bicycle lock. Works perfect.

I have used a Ortlieb 49 L Rack Pack for years. Very sturdy and 100% waterproof. Combined with a set of ROK straps, it works like a charm. If I don't bring camping gear it can hold all I need for multible week trips.

Good choice ::008::

Well build bags with nice details like inside pockets, red interior and loops for fastenings straps.
Which size did you pick?
I went for the medium. The longest size of the bag fits just right - between from front edge of rear seat and the back edge of the Yamaha stock rack. I’ll be Rok Strapping it down.
