Agree - Not ES. Second photo shows the manual rear adjustment and no right side cover.

If you look at the right side of the bike you can see an adjustment knob for the rear shock, a ES model does not have that adjustment knob.

Non ES. The easiest way to tell is to look at the top of the forks. This bike has manual compression/rebound adjusters. If it was an ES model you would see wiring.

Defo a manual suspension setup.
It’s a Generation 2 model. You can tell this easily from these photos by the LCD instrument panel. It should have LED turn signals/indicators.

It’s really no surprise to me that it’s listed wrong, I stopped at quite a few dealers when shopping for my new 2018 and was quite surprised at how little most of them actually knew about the Tenere. One Yamaha dealer actually said we don’t stock or sell Tenere’s because nobody wants them.

Or....the dealer was hoping to find an unsuspecting person, and charge him the ES $$$$. But, I'm always suspicious.
