As the owner of a 2014 ES with almost 1,000 miles, I am very happy with almost everything but the seat. I am curious what other non-stock seat you have and like. Limiting this question to bikes that I might be able to see and possibly sit on within about 200 miles of Des Moines.

I know exactly how you feel but I am probably a little too far away. The Corbin solved all of my problems.

If you feel like a nice ride next Sunday and the weather is decent consider a ride up to Wisconsin for the Slimey Crud Run. http://www.slimeycrudrun.com/#top

I plan on attending with my ES and Corbin and there is usually plenty of bikes there not to mention some good riding.

Sounds like fun, but I have to be in Des Moines on Saturday and that is a little far up and back on Sunday. I will be Prairie Du Chen the evenings of Oct 10-11th. Annual leaf ride.

Before you spend your money on an expensive seat try this option. I usually take all my seats to a local upholstery shop and have them take off the cover, cut off an inch of foam, and replace it with memory foam. It usually costs me around a hundred dollars and it seems to work "very" well for me. I have no ass...just skin-over-bone. I will admit that my new ES seat is one of the better seats that I have had on bikes in the last five years. I did have to use my Air Hawk after 500+ miles on my trip that I just returned from. I drove about 5,000+ miles last month.
I think an Air Hawk is the best overall answer to a tired butt. The trick to an air hawk is to run the least amount of air one can. I would NEVER leave for a long trip without it!
Again...memory foam does make a BIG difference. If you are handy you could do it yourself. I think that is what most seat people do but charge you a lot of $$$.

Went the cheaper route for now and had my seat guy redo the padding on the stock seat. Seems better. Will do close to 1,000 miles this week so we shall see.
