New to the forum but not riding! Currently on a Star (yamaha) Stratoliner Deluxe 1900cc. Looking to go ADV, been on Yamaha since 1972 ::022:: and figured I might as well start here with some questions which I will ask in the appropriate section.

I have both at Stratoliner Deluxe show bike and a 2014 ES. Not giving up the liner, but I ride the S10 to work everyday.

There is nothing like the snap off a red light of that 113 ci (1900 cc) v-twin.

I have found that after a few hundred miles of gravel (or dirt) on the S10, that I now leave my friends when we sometimes have to ride gravel on liners. Amazing what you can learn on a Ténéré that carries over to other bikes.
