People always talk of the Japanese being followers and not leaders.

I think that they are maybe too used to large volumes and tend to be more ruthless with product decisions is what it is.

I find this clip interesting. YAMAHA was doing this 22 year ago. It looks like something that BMW may get to in a few years.

What I think the problem is, is that people don't want to pay the money for the Japanese to do this type of stuff.

Also interesting what the technologies in this may help the "Multipurpose Motorcycle" segment. (from 20 - 22 years ago remember)

Lots more interesting than the latest teaser ad campaign.

Yamaha Morpho 400cc - 1989

Yamaha Morpho II - 1991

Cheers

When BMW introduces this stuff on there new bikes there going to claim they invented it, have created the market for it, and has always been a world leader in innovation and technology of this type.......... :D (where have we heard this before) And the kool aid drinkers will believe this nonsense. Just save this video so we can post it at a later date.... :D Not a hatter,,, just poking fun.. ;D

Definitely interesting. Transformer technology seems to have popped up now and then. In recent years there’s been the R-Bike and the Uno Line that I’m aware of. Perhaps those were inspired by Yamaha’s Morpho from twenty years ago. Anyway, thanks for posting, enjoyed. :)
