Instrument panel swap- 2013 and older models with 2014 digital.

Has anyone thought about swaping the 2013 older panel with the 2014 and newer. Its been bugging me and i wanted to see if this can be done.

Be nice if you could straight swap ECU and Cruise Control ... that would be really nice.

I'm assuming of course that you can't.

I believe this has been covered before and it's not a 'plug and play' option. Like most things if you really wanted to fit it you could, but it was cost a lot of time and $$$...

I doubt it is remotely feasible as the new bike has a heavily revised electrical system so you'd probably need a new harness, which would begot a new ECU, which would begot all sorts of compatibility issues with the throttle bodies and other sensors.....

Was pretty certain that was the case. Was just wishful thinking, simply because if it had been successfully accomplished, I suspect I would have read about it.
