I am watching the installation video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLMSSIqvTeg and at time 4:10, they install a fuel hose piece over the clutch hard line. This part is not very clear to me. Does the soft clutch line connect to the hard one via the nut? It looks like you have to unscrew the softline from the hard line in order to insert the fuel hose piece. Then does the softline contain air? do I have to drain any fluids?

sorry for the newbie questions, I want to make sure what I am doing before I try anything.

Thanks in advance.

I just did this a few weeks ago and the video is not clear. The little black hose piece is slit on one side. It goes over and around the hard line to protect it..like a jacket. You do not need disconnect any lines. You are providing a jacket to prevent the hard line from coming into contact with the bike. I hope that makes sense. Also, what year is your bike?

Ah that makes perfect sense. I have the kit from altrider but never checked the hose. I will check today as soon as I reach home.

Btw, my bike is a 2013.

I didn't buy the kit but went to ace hardware and pick up the pieces for 2 bucks. If you need any help, let me know. BTW are you a member of the PNW Tenere page on FB?
