Had the stock windscreen on highest setting and seat in lowest position.

I'm 6'3"

Installed tall Yamaha windscreen and placed on second to highest setting. Sits at nose height and I can look over top okay. Also put on the side deflectors. Everything looks cool so hopefully this setup works. Will play with screen height if necessary.

I'll report back after my ride tomorrow.

I'm 6' 2.5", but generally keep seat in high position since I have a 34" inseam. I too am working on my windscreen setup. I just added a Madstad bracket using stock screen, still getting buffeting on top of helmet, but not the sides!? Ordered a V-Stream middle size screen earlier today to try that. May try the set up you are using if I get no joy. So I will be looking forward to your report!

Guy´s , Just buy Givi Airflow for the 2011 - 2014 model. It will fit straight on if you have older model , only thing you need to do if you have the newer bikes ( I have 2016 ) is to take off the new adjustable bracket , then the Givi Airflow will be a direct fit.

Better though is to buy the Madstad adjustable bracket and fit the Windshield there. Then you need to drill 2 holes into the screen to make it fit.

Im using this setup on my bike and its just VERY VERY GOOD. No buffeting, I look over the screen driving. I can keep my visor up on normal highway speeds with no wind into my face.

I had the same system on my BMW R1200GS and the first thing I did before buying the Super Tenere was to check if I could get this screen for the Tenere. After confirming that , I bought the bike.

Before finding out about this Givi Airflow It was a constant battle with Buffeting , I probably tried 3 or 4 different screens.

I'm 6'1" and use a Yamaha tall windscreen mounted on a Matstad bracket + the side wind deflectors. The bike is 2013 (Gen 1). With this setup the noise is drastically reduced at motorway speeds. However, a word of caution. While experimenting with height and tilt positions of the Madstad bracket, at one point I put the windscreen too high up and too much tilted backwards (more towards horizontal). On the motorway the airflow under the windscreen increased considerably and ripped off the plastic clips holding the triangle plate just forward of the instrument panel (the plastic plate with the small Yamaha logo). What I want to say is: don't extend the windscreen upwards and tilt backwards more than is necessary.

I could ask you what your height, inseam, and seat position is, but I don't honestly believe it would make that much difference. Things like shoulder width, type of helmet, mirror position, etc. are also factors and so individualized that what screen/mount/winglet combo works for one may not work for another simply because of the other variables. I once used a Tourmaster Transition 3 jacket on a Wee-Strom that I had to sell (the jacket) because it was the one variable that greatly increased the turbulence. For whatever reason, when I wore my Olympia jacket my commute had much less turbulence/helmet buffeting. So while similarities in height, inseam, and seat position may point someone in the right direction towards finding a workable combination, ultimately each one's solution will be unique to that person. IMHO.

So far digging the tall screen/side deflector setup. Have on second tallest setting and wind directed at just over/top of helmet area and I can easily look over screen while riding - I would say it is at the chin/nose height area. I wear an Arai XD-4 helmet and can ride at speed with my visor up with little wind in my face. ] ::008::

WIth screen on second highest setting I did the hand test at highway speed and my air bubble stops at the top of my helmet and just above.

I tried screen at tallest setting and didn't like having top edge of screen in my field of view - bugged me but maybe I could get used to it?

Ride to work was nice - ride home was very windy day so not much of a test there.

Side deflectors seem to keep more wind from hitting my torso so it seems they work as intended.

Overall a nice looking setup on the bike as well.

Factory OEM Tall windscreen for 2014 - suppose to work really well, after reading some posts here on the YST forum. Look for ScoobyNut's posts on the forum... I clipped a pic from his post, shows the 2" taller factory OEM screen option for 2014.

Rode with member Tomatocity Tim a few weeks ago, he has one of these. Looks real nice on the bike and he seems to like it quite a bit. I think i'm going to get one as well. Just looks right on the bike too.

I'm a shade over 6 ft with a 32" inseam and the factory tall screen is perfect at my proportions, especially with the wind wings.

In actuality the tall windscreen is approx 4" taller in total. The stock windscreen is approx 17 1/2" total height and the tall shield is around 21 1/2". Gives Mitch more adjustment than I thought.

I agree on the looks - made more the bike.

If I find I still need to mess with this setup I will throw down on the madstad bracket or similar to get the front to back tilt adjustment.

Thanks for the input guys.

Checks - what height setting do you have yours on? I think we are roughly the same height.

I´m 5 foot 10. 30inch inseam and seat in lower position. This same setup worked very good on my BMW 1200GS.

Friend of mine who is at least 6 foot somth ;-), not sure probably 6 foot 1 or 2. He tried my setup and just said he didnt belive how good it was . We made the same setup for his bike ( bmw F800GS ) We ordered Givi Airflow for super tenere because its not made for his bike, then installed the front airflow screen onto his standard screen. He´s very happy with it, his bike had a very bad buffeting as it was before, now its good , not perfect but good enough for long rides.

Keep in mind that the highway speeds here in Iceland is only 90km ( 60 miles ). I have never tested it above 120km.

I have the Tall OEM Windshield and like it a lot. At 6' with a 32" inseam and seat in the low position... I do NOT have the windshield in its highest position. There are 3 stock settings for the windshield. If you add the Windshield Vibration Bracket (being sold on this forum) you will have no preset settings which will allow you to choose what works.

Hi Guys,
I've got a 2013 S10. Just fitted a givi air flow screen and have the side wind deflectors fitted too. I ride with an open face helmet.
Previously I had a Wunderlicht little deflector fitted to the top of the standard screen. It worked a treat until it fell off on the motorway, just missed me.
So, with the Givi air flow fitted I get no buffering and can ride without the air hitting the top of my helmet or going in my eyes.
But Ive got lots of wind now hitting me on the chin which seems worse than the stock screen. Has anyone had the same issues?
Ive tried all the different heights of the screen and taken the side deflectors on and off. I really thought this screen would be wonderful, but I'm tempted to send it back.
Any thoughts or fixes?

You mean the highest right?

Yes.btw - A couple of guys have blocked the wind coming up through the hole for the fork tubes and said it made a difference. Seems to me one did it with plastic and a couple of brushes.

I do have Mirror Extenders on my setup. I would give it a try before sending it back. I did make a difference for me, without it I did get a little turbulance at my sholders. Sorry for Forgetting to mention it when writing about my setup before.

So far I am digging the tall screen and winglets. Screen on second highest setting and seat in low position.

I've got an infill panel and I swear it makes a little bit of difference for removing a bit of air in the cockpit. Not quite like what you're talking about but it might help. I like the plastic brush idea to help close that area up.
