My thoughts , installed the Arrow header and slip-on this past weekend and then had the gen 2 flash and also had the bike tuned on a dyno.

First with the DB insert in the slip-on the bike ran Very rich and put out 88 hp, so we removed the insert and with no tuning power jumped to 96 hp ,with tuning managed to get power up to 99.5 and 78 ft pounds of torque.
According to the Dyno guy who has done quite a few Superten's ,average power is anywhere from low to mid 80's before flash and tuning.
With flash and tuning you might break into the 90's. With a slipon expect about 3 hp on top of that with no insert.

I think the full system is worth the money if you want more hp but at a price, it's definitely louder ,some might say too loud. I think if your going to keep it corked ,save your money and keep it stock . I would not even buy the slip-on unless your going to uncorked it.

My two cents on the subject.

So you got your flash done at an ecunleashed authorized dealer with some dyno time straight into the ecu? Or am I missing a fuel controller in your post?

Interesting on the insert. The Leo insert made no discernible difference in or out when I had mine tuned. 8hp difference is quite a jump

Yes, adjusted the map in the Ecu. The fuel ratio before we pulled the insert was over 14 and just by pulling the insert we got a 8 hp jump.

It was interesting in the T mode how little the throttle feeds more fuel , I found before the Gen 2 flash I had to twist the throttle quite a bit before it made a difference ,after ,I got equal fuel for equal throttle movement. Looking at the stock factory map on the computer screen it really shows why it's a very worthwhile to reflashed .
It's also interesting after 7400 rpm the power curve starts to go down showing that it's a waste of time revving to the factory redline. This engine is Not a revver.

If I had to do it all again I would just to the flash and tune. The Power gain is really felt but for me I liked it better when it was quiet, part of this is because the engine with the 270 degree crank is really not a nice sound through a loud pipe. And I have a Tuono with open pipes which I do like.

I also have to add the 8 hp jump was with the header and slip-on before tune. I think a lot of this is because with the Arrow header you lose the cat. And yes it was Ecu Unleashed.

What was your AFR when all was said and done? I ask because I have the full system, ECU 2 gen, akro, Bazzaz controller and I got 92.3hp at 13AFR from a dyno pull yesterday. Something tells me that I can get more after a searched a thread somewhere that it would run better between 13.2-13.6.

I'm using Arrow headers with an Akra slipon, also have the Gen II flash and a PCV with a good map. My bike make nearly 100 hp at the rear wheel and is still reasonably quiet thanks to the Akra, which is street legal in Europe.

Does the map look like my PDF file in the link? I bought the S10 with the mods already but the Arrow header was installed AFTER the ECU Gen 2 flash. I got it Dyno tuned about a year ago but never got the printed results. It was better but didn't know by how much. I was told that the fueling at cruising was off before the tune. Anyway, I went to a shop yesterday to do three pulls on the Dyno so I can have hard numbers. The results are low 90s... not close to 100hp that others and yourself got.

.
Looking at my Runfile printout for the peak hp which was at about 7400 rpm it appears to be mid 13's at that rpm. Emailed my tuner and he says 13 at peak.

.
I checked out your map files and in my Dyno runs the ambient temperature was quite a bit hotter at 104 degrees ( not sure how much of a difference that makes?) but my bike seems to make more hp and torque at every rpm level I compared the 2 at.
Going to see if I can upload the printout.

I was looking at old emails with previous owner. I saw that the Bazzaz controller had a jumper. Un plugged- It is running the ECU Unleashed map with header accounted for. Jumper plugged- It is running the Bazzaz map tuned for only Akropovic slip on (without header).

When I got it tuned, the tuner said that the controller with the "jumper in" had the better map, so he started off that map. Bazzaz target AFR was 13.0 so I think the tuner just tried to keep that AFR across the board, getting rid of kinks, without trying a different AFR. I should have done one Dyno pull without the jumper plugged to see the difference. I am curious to find out your target AFR and if it was richer on the lower RPMs as mine.

I also installed the Arrow headers and PCV months after getting the flash and adding the Akra can. You can see my runs here: http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=11538.msg189633#msg189633

That looks real good. My full system just meets your results from just the slip on. I'm not sure if I will try different tuner or do an auto tune with zfam controller. What was your target AFR?
I didn't have a target AFR, the map I used was developed by a highly respected tuner and it works fine plug and play so that's where I left it.
