I'm trying to get my local shop on the AltRider vendor list. To do it, I need a $1500+ (retail) inital order. If I ordered everything offered for the XT1200Z, I'm at $1119.31. Close but not quite.

Is there anyone in the Portland area that would be interested in adding to my order? If so let me know.

I'm trying to get TouraTech on board as well, but they never sent me the paperwork to get it set-up. Their initial order has to be $3000 (retail). My wife has already said, panniers and new GPS will have to be a Christmas present or something. :'(

The shop is Dr Brown Motorcycle. http://drbrownmotorcycle.com/ It's not a chain. It's kind of a hole in the wall. Gene is an old racer with a huge amount of knowledge and he's a grumpy bastard on a bad day. City Search reviews: http://portland.citysearch.com/profile/8487761/portland_or/dr_brown_s_motorcycles.html

Everything would go through the shop. I'm just trying to set it up.

BTW: Jeremy (AltRider) told Gene they are back ordered for a bunch of the ST parts. So there will be a delay between order date and the parts arriving.

Full Disclosure: I host Gene's web site. Someone else is redesigning it as of last Friday.

Let me know.

Hi Ivan,
Have you taken a look at Revzilla.com? They carry most of the Altrider products with free shipping.

Jim,

Going with Revzilla isn't the point. I'm trying to get a vendor relationship setup so I can order parts from my local shop.

I ordered a tank bag and a throttle lock from you guys earlier this week! My local shop couldn't get them so TT was my second choice. ;)
Great news. Post up some pictures once you get everthing installed.

I am looking for a tank bag and other storage. What tank bag did you get?

I do like to shop local but have not problem with the forum vendors's.

I ordered the Bags-Connection GS with the electric ring. Went with this bag because I have really scratched up my FJR using a magnetic tank bag. My KTM hasn't fair much better with the KTM strap mounted tank bag. I went electric so I can charge my cell phone and Sena comm headset.

The bag hasn't arrived yet so I can't tell you what I think of it. Hopefully, it will show up by Wednesday. I'm heading out for a 3 day road trip on the 12th.

Anyone?

Anyone?

I've got one other partner in crime interested. We're trying to put a deal together this week...

Update:

Eric the AltRider sales rep will be in Portland next Tuesday, Oct 18th. If you are in the area and interested in seeing the AltRider products up close, then here's your chance.

I'll provide a time when/if I have one.

The arrangement that I have been working on has collapsed for various reasons. I'm working with someone else. If everything goes to plan, I'll have my new parts some time next week.
