Exciting video. The 1200 would do that if it was 100 lbs lighter, had 2" more clearance, and better tires. But we know that isn't happening so we will have to wait on the XT900.

the xt1200z does do this, as ive proved to myself on a yamaha loaned 1200 in wales, itll go anywhere (was riding it like a motox bike >:D) but this bike looks great in the 900 version ::022::

8.7 gallons! Doh!

Looks slick but I really want the 660 more than a 900.

LOL...... Other than that water crossing this is exactly what we where doing at Big Bend TX 6-8 weeks ago... Same type rocks, same looking terrain, and we hit 70 + Mph on dirt on more than one occasion..... This beast will do it... My suspension is cranked almost full stiff though...... LOVE THIS BIKE !! ! ! ::008:: O' yea... K60's rocked out there !

Double Doh-!! Eight plus gallons.
I'd also be more happy, I think, with the 660 since I already own (and am madly in love with) a 1200. ::022::

That's more my way of thinking. I don't see the point of going 'less heavy.' If you want a lighter option, do it in a major way.

I would love to see this bike come to be, but Triumph's 800 Tiger is gonna be hard to top, VERY hard. 8)

You might be surprised. Stop the Tiger, no, but if the XT900 were to come about in the trim they are showing, there seems to be a segment that this bike is tailor made for. This looks to be a heckuva lot more off road worthy, in OEM trim, than the Tiger...or the S10 for that matter. The Tiger, at the very least, will do well based soley upon the crowd that goes gaga over British motorcycles while looking past their quirks.

I remember reading a lot of posts from people who were hoping for something more like the XT900 when they heard the S10 was coming. Much of that crowd turned away disspapointend when they saw all the of the plastics and shiny paint on what looked like more of a 90% street/10% dirt machine.

Thats Bad ass! I would definitely have to buy one of those. On a side note, one bike that Yamaha already makes that I wish like hell I could get here in the United States is the XJR 1300. I want one in the worst way.

It will have a 23Litre tank just like the 660 and 1200 if it ever appears. Just a wild guess. ;D
