I picked up my 2013 Super Tenere on Friday...and I'm in love. I've ridden Harleys for 13 years and just made the switch. Don't get me wrong, I still love harleys, but there is something about the responsiveness, the agility, the energy of this bike that is unmatched by anything else I've ridden. Even in the dirt, I feel stable. It's insane and I love it! Not to ride the Twisted Sisters again and see how they feel! (one of the best rides in Texas IMO)

::026:: I was down there in March. The Tenere will keep up with an R6 in even the tightest of curves, 'till the Tenere runs out of tire. I was very surprised at the speed & and agility. I mean, it's a big honking enduro....(TBDBITW)....it shouldn't be able to do what it does. And the dirt riders on this forum can make it do equally crazy s**t off road. ::001::

Saw you're up in DFW. Some great rides up near the Red River! I picked up this S10 in McKinney. Best pricing I could find in the state. And glad I did it too. Now to ::021::

Congrats )
I just came over from Harleys too. I rode bikes made by the big 3 from the 70's to early 90's. (Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki) I love the comfort of my Road Glide but was missing the fun of a nice handling bike.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the "new to you" Tenere!

I'm with you on the Twisted Sisters! Likely the best rides in TX!

Until I can get proper "adventure" attire I am wearing my leather gloves and jacket with jeans and boots.

a helmet and your ready.... atgatt is what most of us strive for.... minimum would be helmet , jacket , gloves ( I see gloves as extremely important as when one falls you usually put your hands down , and at any speed would not take long to shorten some fingers ) , boots , jeans are barely adequate , would shred in a few feet. I admit most of the time I'm in the minimum , motorcycle pants are best.... wear what you got . till one can do better.
