I love this bike!

Had to stop on the way home from work last week and capture this special moment. Most of the millage has been accumulated since the middle of March, through almost every kind of weather and road condition you can imagine. What makes the 10k mark special to me is that the bike came through it all with flying colors. IMHO, all things considered, this is absolutely the best all-round motorcycle on the market today. I am blown away with its off-road manners, and its ability to jump back on the hard and carve up the twisty sections, which I ride through on a daily basis. Maybe the best thing of all is that this dam bike just keeps getting better! I don't know if it's just me bonding with the sole of this machine or not, but I swear she feels way better than in late winter when I started riding her again. It's not weather or temperature related, because we are having one of the coldest springs on record here on the Wet Coast. Go figure?

My one complaint is that I have been unable to eliminate the low-idle surging in 1st and 2nd gear. I'm not prepared to invest in a PCV type fix at this time, so will put up with this minor detraction for now.

Regards,
Mike

only if I could get rid of that 1st gear surging in the woods.
Have you tried the clutch lever safety switch bypass? Doesn't cost much to try it.

Congrads! Guys I work with always ask about the Tenere. My response is always the same, "It is the best bike I've ever own, ridden."

i absolutely feel that this bike is the best all around motorcycle for me, but i do still wish to get a race replica again.

of course that will be an addition- not a replacement.

14k miles later and I'm still having a lovefest with this bike. Very surprising since I usually have bike A.D.D. Yamaha really hit this one out of the park. ::022::

Not sure what you mean by "rack". Are you referring to the Wasp Works Screen Adjuster? The other bits are for my GPS mount, which is in the design stage right now.

Mike
He was referring to "Greg The Poles" post/picture.

I broke 39K miles last night on the way home from work, and feel exactly as you do. Of all the bikes I've owned, this one is the best for me. I still get a tingle every time I see it, and enjoy every moment I am out riding it.

What's even wilder is that I've still got a fair bit of tread left on the rear, and plenty on the front, Heidenau K-60s that were mounted over 24K miles ago in February. The rear is showing some cracks around the tread blocks; fresh set is sitting in the garage ready to go. :)
