Getting the Tenere was a tough choice. I was riding an 2006 FZ1 with so many Farkels it was insane! MY 2005 FJR was just an awesome bike, my 2005 MZ Baghira is just too much fun and my V Star 1300 was really nice. (It was my wife's bike, but I was riding it 99% of the time) My photography business is taking off and between a full time job, the bike were getting less and less ridden. So it was time to simplify, The Baggie was staying plain and simple, it was too much fun on and off road, and these Texas back roads were made for it, just no range. Keeping all of these bike maintained was getting to be such a pain, So I traded three high mileage bikes in, titles for title on the Tenere. I had ridden the demo bike several times (about 450 miles) before closing the deal. It might be the best decision I have made as far as motorcycles. The bike is awesome! I did a 300 mile day today all back roads, and did not want to come home. The Tenere is going to allow me to pack a ton of camera gear, and get to places, not too many folks get to. I have had a tradition since riding here in texas, to get a shot of my "current" bike on the lonely back road. The 1st pick was taken in 2004 on my original 03 FZ1, and then today 8 years later my Tenere gets to join the wall of fun! I have a feeling there will be many more pics and some serious GO PRO vide of the Tenere and the Baghira in Action. I already have the GIVI bars on, and I am waiting for the MADSTATD windshield bracket. The luggage which was part of the deal, will be on the bike in July. ::022::
