Same here!
Shutters are up, patio furniture brought in and potted plants are in the shed.
I have lived here for 47 years and the worst storm has been Hurricane Andrew. Irma is worse and 4-5 times bigger!
If there is no change in it's path this may be the worst storm in recent history. :( -JEP-

so ,why are you sitting there? should you be going some place that offers safety ? hanging around the house is not going to insure its safety just a chance of your injury or death..... Florida is a big sand bar sticking out in the ocean....

Still have a lot to do, but we should get it all done around noon tomorrow. It looks like the track has moved west. I can only hope this thing loses steam coming up the peninsula - there's a lot of out-of-towners here in central FL from the coasts and south.

It's a little bit of comfort to be located in a place people worse off are evacuating TO.

With the continued move west I'm in the bull's-eye now. Hope the storm surge doesn't get me!

There are a lot of people praying for you all and nervously waiting, even if we are not in Florida.

If you want to see you cut off the State now is, this is Flightaware. Because of the South American connections Miami is normally a major hub like Atlanta.

Haven't been here in a day or so. FMRider, fingers crossed for you.

As I write this, you're probably IN the eye. I hope you and FMWife are out of Dodge, or at least out of danger.

The worst has past here in West Palm Beach. We had several hours of intermittent high winds from the outer and mid bands. Around 4:00PM I ventured out to check the house and found no real damage. However the yard debris is unbelievable! I have my work cut out for me tomorrow but realize it could have been far worse. Just hope the folks on the west coast can get through this. -JEP-
