Hi to all

Some days ago, I posted what end up in my S10 the new turning lights in the "what you did to your Tenere today!!!??" thread and was a request to post a new "how to" thread, so here I am!!
I can tell you in advance that I will share in wording the best I can in my second language since I did not take care of taking pictures as I did the modification.

This is what was the end work done;

Front turning light working with DRL
Rear truning light
Rear emergency light. The stop light flashes 3 times and then stays solid, the main (center) stop light works normal! I will post a video later, did not take a video of it.
Front emergency light with DRL

Very inexpensive, some work is needed to be done but I like the way it looks in my 2013!!

These are the lights kind I used!

The turn signal/hazard relay:

Of course, doing this installation will require some electrical and mechanical skills for the modifications to be done to the OEM harness, light cases.

Note; I’m sure that many questions will come and I will try to explain in the best manner how or what will be needed. Ask questions if it is not clear and/or need additional detail.

Summary;

- will require to remove and disassembly the original turning lights (23P-83310-00 Fr flasher light assembly and 23P-83340-00 for the rear)Lamparas direccionales.png to make some adapters to allocate the new light, between rubber base and new lights.
- rework the rubber base used in the original directional light cases, to assure the new light case assembly can be allocated and supported.
- have the electrical wire diagram for cable identifications and components (like relay) will help you a lot for wires identification and location, to do proper connections, there will be to link to energy for having the DRL working and also for the brake lighting too.
- tools and material needed, cutting pliers, welding and electrical wire and connectors, electrical tape, nylon straps, wrenches, screwdrivers among other.
- will require to replace the "turn signal/hazard relay" to support led lighting, with the original one will hyper-flash, it will require an electrical adapter since the connections will not match
- patience and will to have a great work done at the end.

What I like the must of the new lights is that it has DRL for the front, has 3-time flashes then solid for stop light and for directional it has sequential.

The total $ spent probably will not get to $50.00 usd when DIY, labor time took me about 4 hrs.

If any additional information is required and or detail please let me know and I will try to do my best.
Great day to all!

To be honest I think, in my case the rear had 3 wires, you needed is to identify for a DRL wire convination you is, as well as for the turning light, then with a voltmeter in the bike you identify your ground wire, then the turning light and if your new light comes with the DRL you will connect (as I did) to the lisence plate ligh for the DRL, the same will do for the front turning lights.

I think, if your new turning light comes with two wires, I will be sure one will be for turn signal voltage and the other for ground. ( you can try connecting to the battery through a fuse.
If you the new turning light has tree wires, then one is for turning signal, other for DRL and the other for ground.
Hope this help!
If more information is needed please let me know.
