Well, that's an interesting question. Unlike most bikes, even other EFI Yamahas, there is no idle adjustment feature on the Super Tenere. IF you need to adjust the idle rpm, it's done by adjusting the idle air screws that are used to sync the throttle bodies. But you can't just go fiddling with one, they have to be balanced. One has a white paint mark on it, you're supposed to use that as a base line and adjust the other throttle body to match, (balance), which requires you to have some sort of tool to read the air flow of both throttle bodies at the same time.

The bigger question for you is WHY are you asking this? The Factory Service Manual lists just two things to check if the idle is off; Air filter (dirty or clogged), and valve adjustment. That is a pretty good implication that if the idle is significantly off from the spec, (1050-1150 rpms), that perhaps you have other problems.

Check the air filter. Clean the inside of the air box while you're there. If that doesn't show any red flags, sync the throttle bodies in the normal manner first, before you go messing with things further. You might end up getting things worse off than when you started unless you do things in the proper sequence.
