63 years old here, and 9 bikes in the garage.
Okay, yes, four of the nine belong to the wife. So, at 63 I am riding and having fun, be it on my 2021 Tenere, the 2017 Beta 500RR-S, or a 2022 Yamaha YZ250X, or a 2014 Valkyrie, or the 2018 Kawasaki H2 SX SE (for sale). Still working, but having fun on the bikes, which I initially got into over 50 years ago and been riding ever since. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, unless water boarding is involved.

49 this past january.
My list of "stupid crap to do" is getting short, so my remainder should be easy peasy, or not.

45. This is my 22nd or 23rd bike. The main reason that attracted me to the ST is the electronic suspensions and general comfort. Last bike was a 2019 Africa and I loved the bike, but I think in terms of comfort the ST is still better. Also no chain to maintain, longer valve check intervals, Yamaha reliability (though my Africa has been flawless as well), just enough electronics, but not too much. Just took delivery of mine last week and waiting for the motorcycle season to begin (here we can't ride between December 1st and March 15th. So officially riding season opens tomorrow, but there's still ice and snow on the streets, so looking forward to 2-3 warm days to clear that up!

o_O Is that mandated . . . . by statute? Or is that just the unspoken rule?

It's because of a winter tire law. Between those dates, you need tires that are homologated for winter (on all road vehicles). If not, you get a fine and can have your vehicle towed. Until the last few years no such tires existed for motorcycles. Now there's one brand that makes 2 models of tires that would be accepted (and they possibly make sizes for the ST), but take out the days you can't ride because roads are covered in ice, or temperature is -10C to -40C...and it's just not worth it. Also during winter are roads our covered in sand and salt...which is not great for any motorcycle, you need to rinse it off every time...so typically 99.9% of riders here, don't ride between December and March.
