How much have you paid for your 20k km service. My local won't quite as they reckon they don't know how much work is involved.
Ok thanks. More than I expected. I thought yamaha would have a schedule with the number of hours of labour for each device already worked out. My local guys haven't done the service before so a bit of a painplatty said:The cost of my 20k service here in Melbourne was $723.25
Parts $134.22
Labour $589.05
GST $ 65.75
However note that this included greasing both the steering and swing arm pivot bearings so comparing the 10k and 20k bills I guess that involved around $350 of extra labour ... they did say they found greasing the rear swing arm pivots was a challenge :
Hope this helps.
Thx platty, good to knowplatty said:Squarebore Mate
Maybe I should have been a little more direct in stating that the additional greasing isn't part of the standard 20,000km service so that would reduce the "standard" cost considerably.
I had it done because there has been a general concern about the quality of this work done at the factory and I was far too busy (and lazy) at the time to do it myself
Hope this puts your mind at rest at least a little :-\
Holy sh*t batman, that is wrong. This will be the last service done by the shop. Turns out my 20k km service will be about $240. Getting a new CCT under warranty as well.TenRider said:20000 didn't cost me much but the 40000km service gave me a massive kick in the wallet. Try $1200 thats including GST. This is after the original quote of $605. A few extra jobs were done as they thought it was necessary. Brake fluid and coolant changed and new rear pads. This added an extra 500 dollars to the bill.
Nice surprise before Christmas.
Hmmm o/k so I estimated my $723 included an additional $350 for the extra work I had performed ... so we're kinda in the same ball park ... well maybe not the same park but at least in the same suburbsquarebore said:Just for the record my 20k km service cost $303. This included new plugs, oil, filter, diff oil. Also did the CCT while he was there but that was done as a service recall so no charge.
Hi platty, depends on the vin of your bike. Mine was noisy for two to three seconds after a cold start. It is still under warranty but didn't need to be apparently. Ask your dealer about the service recall.platty said:Hmmm o/k so I estimated my $723 included an additional $350 for the extra work I had performed ... so we're kinda in the same ball park ... well maybe not the same park but at least in the same suburb
However ... how the hell did you manage to get the CCT done under warranty ???
