Just did my plugs at 17k, not 12 k and all four looked great. Prob should have left them in but gapped the new ones to .032" I think and sounds just as good as it did before, not sure if I'll get better mileage or not. Takes a little time if you haven't done one before. There is a YouTube video that helped make mine go faster. Think I ended up using a 3/8" drive knuckle between a short and long extension to get in there after the plug caps were off. Take your time and blow everything off getting al the sand, gravel dust or road grunge off before you tear into it before and after the air box is off. That stuff falls everywhere. Need to really cover things up good like the carb. I also pulled the pivot bolt from the back of the tank and stood it straight up and used a bungee from the front of the tank to the rear rack to stabilize it, makes getting to air box screws easier for me. Not necessary though.
