How is it possible?

I've been riding and owning bikes for over 50 years. I'm 65 next month and have owned over 100 bikes. Over 50 BMWs including several GS'es, water, oil and air cooled. I just sold my 2017.5 GS Rallye, which was outfitted with taller GSA supension. Too tall for my 6' frame. I sold it last week and decided to look for something different. I could have gone for another, shorter GS, like a 800 or whatever, but I don't like chain drive. I have always been intriqued by the Super Tenere 1200 and the VFR 1200X. I know they are very different bikes and I've alway loved the VFR V-4s. I probably would have sprung on one of them if I found one. But I found this incredible 2015 ST with just 6,600 miles and lots of great options for an even $10K. I looked at and sat on it this past Saturday and was floored by how good it felt. I negotiated a fair deal and picked it up yesterday and drove it home in my pickup. I rode it today for the first time and was blown away by how easy it is to ride, how useable the power and torque are, and how I feel I could envision riding this bike for the next 10+ years with my lady and new panniers.

Welcome !
Wow 100 different bikes in 50 years hard to imagine, I have only owned 12 different motorcycles in about 53 years and 900,000 miles.

Welcome to the Forum and may I say what a great looking S10 you have there, I only wish we could have had that colour in UK, by the way, what end can do you have on it?

Welcome along, from a very cold Bedfordshire UK. Enjoy the new ride.

Another interesting forum handle for us to ponder - Funeral Director/ Poirot fan??

Thanks, Mike, it's an Arrow. Love the sound, almost Ducati-like. But not loud at all. Highly recommend it. No backfiring or popping on decel.

Winner of the Batesville 500?
HAHA! Nope, just a lifelong motorcyclist with a slightly twisted sense of humor. Some would say morose. I figure if I die in a high speed motorcycle wreck, that's what it'll be. But I'm not wreckless - I strive for perfect lines through the twisties - but love to twist the throttle when the road and traffic conditions permit. My 2022 Triumph Rocket 3R is hard to resist in this area.

(NOTE: town in the background is where I've retired to - beautiful Yachats, OR. Come visit - I've got room for motorcycling guests!) :)IMG_5900.jpg

I'm intrigued. An average of more than 2 bikes a year for 50 years. There's got to be some great stories with that kind of history.

Heck, I just appreciate you making me look slow to acquire bikes for having only 30ish bikes in a similar amount of years riding. I'm going to go tell my wife how normal I am...thanks.
