I did a nice 131 mile ride this morning, weather was perfect in the high 50's. It was my first longer ride on the bike. My observations:
The Good
-I really like the way the bike handles, had some twisties but being cautious on the new tires.
-Overall like the ergonomics but find my legs are more comfortable with the seat in the high position, low position starts to impact my right knee.
-Within keeping the rpm below 4500 for the duration of the break-in period, I was very pleasantly surprised by the fuel consumption being 46mpg and that is real numbers (mileage divided by gallons after ride). It is better than my BMW by about 15%.
Not Good
-The stock windshield is fairly useless. As mentioned above, I have ordered a Puig touring screen
-After about 110 miles my @ss was sore so no way I could do a long riding day with the stock seat. It will need to be replaced before any trips.

I really enjoyed the ride this morning and the larger windshield will make it even better. Next on my list, is a set of Caribough 35L luggage and racks. I'll also add some crash bars, I like the Givi ones.

I don’t listen to anything when I am riding except the SatNav if I am touring. Other than that, when I ride, there are no phones and no music. Motorcycling is dangerous and I like to be “in the moment”, yes, it sounds corny, but if I want music I can plug into my music system and if I want phone calls, well there is a time and place and it’s not while I’m riding my bike.

I only missed the first quarter, I watched the rest to a disappointing finish. I did a 20 mile ride home. Love the bike so far and I ordered a new windshield as the stock one is pretty much useless. I went with a Puig touring shield. Hopefully its a good one. I was torn between that one and a V-stream.

I seem to struggle to get the side stand down. I push on the bottom part of it but then my boot catches the foot peg and I cannot extend it easily. I'll figure out how to deal with that.
I push the sidestand with my heel or rear 3rd of my foot. I push on the large tab that's on the sidestand with my foot facing out. That way nothing catches.

I like to have my phone connected, in a worst case scenario, if I crashed and my phone is connected I could call for assistance.

well im completely disgusted with coaches who play a soft defense and lose the game in the last 60 seconds .... but that's another issue ... as far as windshields go the winglets are very important in keeping the cockpit a nice place to ride .... I've never used either brand you mentioned , I have a California scientific windshield on mine with the Yamaha winglets and its a nice place to sit and ride . Puig is probably going to work , but add the winglets . keeps air from coming up from under the windshield .
as for kickstand ,don't have an answer other than you need to build muscle memory for that bike . you're foot is looking for your other bike . post some pictures of the new ride , we like pictures . I'm thinking im going on a breakfast ride this morning to enjoy the 53 degree start to the day . then tonight I will let the Cowboys disappoint me in a big way as they play the 49ers...

to stay on subject ... I listen to local FM radio through my Cardo unit , to cheap to down load and have to pay for music . but on a ride I usually just enjoy the quiet of no music or radio , just my thoughts , the sound of the bike and the wind is enjoyable . my quiet time .

Quite a few inmates here starting use Carpuride. I pair it with my phone and Cardo, works great with the Spotify, Amazon Music, Sirrius, Pandora, etc. apps.

I just pair my phone to my Sena and either run Spotify or a playlist I’ve made. I used to have a bike with a USB setup too, but honestly, I’ve gotten used to just keeping it simple with my phone. I’ve got it mounted with a RAM mount in case I need to change something, but I usually just set it and forget it before I hit the road.

I use a Cardo PackTalk Slim with plugup.com S plug earbuds or Westone CR1 custom molded earbuds paired to my android phone. I usually use Pandora. I leave my phone in my jacket pocket and use voice commands to control everything.
