I just bought my ST1200 and was curious how others listen to music when out riding? I'm coming from a 2019 BMW RT and it has a USB port which I use a thumb drive loaded with all my music and can control it through the bike to my Arai with a Sena 50S. How are you guys and girls listening to music on your ST1200's? Thanks.

I have a Sena in my helmet and one of those wireless CarPlay screens mounted to my handlebar to control the music.

I don't, I find any music to be very distracting and takes away for why I ride. don't know too many that do unless the bike has exterior speakers. But then do you really hear it, especially Harleys. Loud pipes, loud music. Sounds to me an attention deficit issue for those guys.

I have an old android phone mounted on my handlebars, Bluetooth to Amazon earbuds, internet connection via internet sharing from my real phone which stays in my jacket pocket. I am listening all the time.

It seems most people are using the wireless car play devices. I'll need to check those out or alternatively, use my Nav to play music off of. Thanks for the responses everyone.

I've been riding for years and playing music. It helps me stay alert, especially on long trips when putting in several hundred mile days on long straight roads with no interesting features.

I have a cardo packtalk slim in my helmet. Plays great music i can clearly hear with earplugs in.

I dont listen to music often, usually on long boring stretches of superslab.

I took an old iPhone 5 and use it as an iPod. I've divided some of the songs by "type". I'll pick an "album" put it on shuffle and throw the phone in my go bag. I use a Sena also. I don't need to see the phone to control it. If I don't want to listen to a specific song, I just press the button, and spin the ring . . . . next song. The ring also controls the volume. My only problem is that some of my songs are quite . . . . uh . . . . inspirational. At least to my throttle hand. Yet another reason to use cruise control.

This is the one I bought. It works flawlessly for me.

My iphone is paired with my Sena 50S, and I control it with the jog-dial on the Helmet.
I have all my music selections loaded into my iphone and can hear it clearly through my helmet speakers, even with "ear-peace" earplugs in.
I also have it secondary-paired with my Zumo-XT and it will display what song is being played momentarily at the bottom of the Zumo. I don't play it through the Zumo though.

If I receive a call or text while I'm riding, it will display on my Zumo-XT so then I can decide if I want to address it, or just ignore and keep riding..........
This setup works very well for me, as I can tell with just a momentary visual glance what is happening.

I use a Quad-lock wireless waterproof phone charger/holder and use any number of music streaming apps and my phone is connected to my helmet for audio and phone via Bluetooth. If interested in the Quad-lock look on my XXGUY YouTube channel.

I listen to music with my ears!

Haha, just kidding. I use a Sena 50s connected to my Garmin Zumo and my phone. The Zumo acts as a hub so you can pause or skip songs with a quick touch. It can also balance the audio through the volume mixer.

I also use a Sena SR10 paired as a second mobile phone. I get my radar detector alerts through it and it has the highest priority so you never miss an alert. I also connect a two way radio to the SR10 (it has a handlebar mounted Push-to-talk button) for longer range communications.

Lastly I have the Sena remote on my left handle bar so I can control the head set with my hands on the bars.

I have a sena 50 built in to my helmet.
Phone and gps paired , my spotify music can be turned on or off by siri with voice activation.
Only listen to music if slabbing it for too long.

Apparently, I'm behind the times. (as if my flip phone wasn't a big enough indicator) But I only have the Sena 20s. Had it since '17. My boys and I got them at the same time. The problem with the R6 kid is that his Two Brothers exhaust is loud enough to activate the microphone which makes an open mic.
