How do I post photos

I've been trying to post some pics of my new bike, I have attached them as you would do when sending an e-mail but the post seems to time out? Where am I going wrong?

Most of us post our pics to a photo hosting service first. There are lots of them out there. I use photobucket, skydrive, dropbox, etc.

Once you upload your photo to a place like photobucket, you simply retrieve the URL and copy/paste it into your post on this forum.

Basically, your picture is just "pointed to" in your post here. It does not actually reside on the forums webserver.

::026:: to what Snakebitten wrote. If you're not using a photo uploading site now, it may be easier to simply go to www.tinypic.com You can upload your pictures there, one at a time. Click on 'Choose File' and browse your computer to find the pic you want, then select a size, (please us the 'Message board 640x480' size from the resize drop down menu), then click on 'Upload Now' and answer the anti spam question, then it will upload your picture and give you four choices of links. You can copy and paste the IMG link directly into the forum reply box w/o using any of the tools above the reply box, as it will already be in the correct format.
