When I picked up my bike from the dealer these Baja design light were already on it. I don't ride much at night so I really didn't want them. After a little haggling they were reasonably priced so I ended up keeping them and took the bike out tonight to try them out. I went on a little strip of beach between the Intercoastal waterway and the Gulf of Mexico. No lights but the stars. And wow these suckers light up. It's hard to tell from the pic but the sand was lit up clear as day for a hundred yards or so in front of me.

That's a serious increase on the sides. All the better to see the white tail deer around here, amongst the other various big critters.

I love my baja lightbar. I have the additional set up that allows me do set the brightness level. I have the wired to run at 30% when I turn them on and then go to 100% on hi when I go to hi beam. I know they cost more but for me the quality was worth it.

Yes, I have these too. They were installed on bike before I bought it. These are great! Gonna get the other wiring harness that works with the high beam switch. Mine go from 100%....50%....flashing with current wiring harness.

Are you sure that you can not run the high beam trigger wire with your current set up? Meaning if the lights are on at 50% and you trigger the high beam it goes automatically to 100%. No by adding additional unit I can dial mine down all the way to 0% and go to 100% with the high beam. Really just depends on what you are looking for.

Well he was just looking after you. You could have drowned if you were at the wrong side of an inter-coast.

(notice the hyphen) ::025::

By the way, nice lights.. ;)

Running these also. Have the PMW dimmer. Set to 30 or 40% with the low beams on and high beam gets 100%. I see deer a 100 feet into the woods ahead and probably 50 or so to the side. Funny to see all the eyes light up. Good kit and great support from Baja Designs.

The problem with doing that would be instead of triggering the switch from 50-100%, you would actually trigger strobe mode. It would require a momentary relay to toggle between the two modes. Also, the lights always default to 100% when using the less expensive harness. This is one of the reasons I was interested in the Motobrain; the PWM operation would allow me more options as to how the lights worked...

That makes sense. I was not sure how the standard set up worked since I went with the PWM from the start. I agree it gives you more options. I have mine wired with the PWM with a PIAA switch triggering a relay. That way I have all the options I need. They are really a fantastic light and for Atlanta traffic do help other drivers see you better as well.

Great looking light bar can anyone tell me exactly what model this is where I can get a set and $ paid. Do I understand correctly that this has the cabability to go on a strobe mode ? Reason is I am looking for a landing light and taxiway light for an experimental aircraft that I am building and if this has a stobe function - so much better that I can be seen while up loitering around the pattern.
Thanks guys, ::012:: ::014::

Here is a link - http://www.bajadesigns.com/ProductDetail?ItemNumber=457043/url] They are not cheap, but I think they are worth the money. They used my bike for the prototype mount so they gave me a tour and I've seen how they are built. They circuit board is a solid copper sheet with thermistors to back down the wattage if they rise above a preset temp so the LEDs don't burn out. My PWM failed and they replaced it for free. All of the major off road racers use these, although that version of this light is 51" wide!
