All,

I've used Hippo Hands on my FZ1 and had good success with keeping my hands warm. Not sure if they would fit over the hand guards on the ST, but these could possibly be another option for those not planning to install grip heaters.

I have them on my 1000 V-Strom, planning to use on the S10, don't see why they wouldn't fit the same way.

I have a pair of battery powered gloves for riding. They work very well, but you're not supposed to get them wet.

I have something very similar on my M109 that I picked up from Bass Pro Shop but if you want black you have to order them. They only carry camo in their stores. I have limited success on my bike only because I had to rotate my bars up for a better riding position so with the mittens on it is a challenge to use my switches. If I am able to purchase a S10 they should work much better. They do keep your hands toasty for sure even in 20F temps.

I had some on my Multistrada after I first got it but they kind of freeked me out. ??? You don't realize how often you take your hands off the controls until you have these on and are trying to get your hand back in to get to the controls, especially in an emergency. :'( I took them off after a couple of rides because I just did not feel safe using them. So they sit on a shelf with a lot of other things that seemd like a good idea at the time.

I had the same problem, solved it with some thin flexible plastic bent into a circle and fastened into the opening.

You must be WAY too young!!!!! ;) They were made by Vetter years ago and were a "must-have" for winter riding.

I'm using firstgear heated gloves and jacket liner..it works great and looks good.
Delivery boys use these hippos on 125cc bikes and scooters over here. It must be effective but I wouldnt want to be seen in that :)
